Overview and Responsibilities

Develop and maintain banking realtionships for a high-growth business. Set up new bank accounts and establish necessary transactional capabilities within those accounts.  Serve as the liaison between the business and commercial banks, banking issue resolution, and maintaining banking agreements and other important documents.  Responsible for understanding basic banking functions. Ability to interpret bank lingo, decipher multiple on-line platforms and achieve desired results. Perform various accounting duties including daily cash management processes, processing of reports, and related projects as required. Job responsibilites are as follows:

 

  • Develop and maintain banking relationships for a high-growth business, and serve as liaison between banks and operations.
  • Set up new bank accounts and manage and communicate banking issues as they arise.
  • Coordinate the addition and deletion of check signers on the company’s checking accounts.
  • Process and review cash consolidation reports, positive pay exceptions, clearings requests, ACH and wire transfers.
  • Monitor banking compliance, maintain fraud prevention, sustain data integrity of bank account related information i.e. routing numbers, ACH origination ID, account numbers, etc.
  • Provide support to accounting, tax and finance personnel by collection of data and completion of documents.
  • Assist others in the Accounting department with month-end close, journal entries, accounts payable and bank reconciliations.
  • Special individual and group projects as needed

 

Qualifications

  • A minimum of two years’ experience in commercial banking or consumer lending, with an Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Communication or other business program or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as listed above.
  • Analytical skills necessary to successfully perform the functions above
  • Ability to make sound, independent judgments within established guidelines
  • Excellent time-management skills; Ability to organize own work, set priorities and meet critical deadlines in a deadline-driven and dynamic environment
  • Ability and desire to work with others in a cooperative, positive and constructive manner
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office products, including Excel and Access. 
  • Experience with MS Dynamics General Ledger is a plus.
